Girl dies in suicide pact, boy survives near Mysore. MYSORE: In what appears to be suicide pact, a girl who consumed toxic liquid along with her boyfriend has succumbed to injuries at a hospital in Kollegala on Monday. The boy has been shifted to Mysore Hospital and his condition is serious. Chunchaiah (30) and Ramya (23), both residents of Meghalapura village in Mysore taluk have left their homes early on Monday and have reached Male Mahadeshwara Hills in Chamarajanagar, police said. Sources claim they have got married at the temple atop the hills and later attempted suicide near a college on the hills. Passersby who noticed the duo writhing in pain shifted them to hospital in Kollegala but an hour later Ramya died. Chunchaiah has been shifted to Krishnarajendra hospital for better medical care. Police suspect the duo may have attempted suicide in fear of their family members, who were opposing for their alliance for quite a sometime now.TOI
