Glenrothes Amateur Musical Association’s (GAMA) and Age Concern Glenrothes both charitable organisations working in partnership to promote the strengths of both organisations and help one another to continued success. Fiona Mackay, manager of Age Concern Glenrothes is delighted about the new arrangement. She said: “This is a great development for us working with another local, but completely different charity partner.“We are entirely focused on Glenrothes and its surrounding villages, so it’s fantastic to work with another group who have their roots in the community.“Music is fundamentally important to the social aspect of our service, so as well as helping each other with fundraising and promotion, I’m sure we are going to have lots of fun along the way.” Age Concern currently operates nine day centre sessions throughout Glenrorthes and into Leslie, Markinch, Coaltown of Balgonie and Thornton, including the provision of transport and a nutritious meal.
