Gm: Self Denial Sometimes its hard for a person to swallow their pride, and to admit that they are wrong. Pride will cause a person to miss out some things in life such as, moving forward in career, ministry, relationships, marriages, and also can hinder a persons walk with Christ. Jesus taught his disciples that, you cannot be prideful and gain everything in this world and lose your soul, by worshiping idols such as, money, cars, careers, spouses, even SELF. We have to deny these things in order to follow Christ. Dont get me wrong, these things are okay to have or obtain, but they cannot take priority over Jesus. Pride will cause you to fall flat on your face. This has to be a daily process to follow Jesus, we must let Jesus lead, swallow the pride, and humble ourselves because if you dont it will lead to self destruction. Put away selfishness and become selfless, and begin to gain everything that Christ have to offer....Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it. For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? (Matthew 16:24-26 KJV) #lessofmemoreofjesus
