God Will Back You Up --Mark Brazee And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. —Matthew 16:19 Sometimes we ask, “Why did God allow this illness to come into my life?” But the truth is, we allowed it. It’s like driving down a highway at breakneck speed and then telling the policeman who pulls you over, “Sorry, officer, I didn’t realize the speed limit wasn’t 110 miles an hour.” The policeman would not say, “Bless your heart. Forgive me, I shouldn’t have pulled you over. I didn’t know you were ignorant of the law.” No, he’d give you a ticket anyway. Ignorance of the law is no excuse. The same is true in the spiritual realm. You may say, “I didn’t know I allowed the devil to keep me from receiving healing.” Yes, but you have the Bible which gives you all the answers. Ignorance of the Word is no excuse. Sometimes we don’t receive healing because we allow a door to stay open to the devil. Often the open door is the result of wrong thinking, which is usually the result of wrong teaching. Wrong thinking produces wrong believing, and wrong believing produces wrong results. Bottom line, if you forbid the devil’s strategies against you, God stands behind you. If you do nothing, God stands behind you. Whatever you do, God backs you up. So choose wisely. Confession: My Father has given me authority to choose what to allow or forbid in my life. So I allow only God’s thoughts in my mind and divine health in my body.
