God Will Save Those Around You and said, ‘Do not be afraid, Paul. You must stand trial before Caesar; and God has graciously given you the lives of all who sail with you.’ So keep up your courage, men, for I have faith in God that it will happen just as he told me. Acts 27:24-25 Can you remember the last storm that you faced in your life? Maybe you are going through one right now? We all face difficult times in our lives that affect our lives and the lives of those around us. When you give everything you have to God and begin to pursue Jesus and His plans with all of your heart, all of hell will come against you to discourage you. However, for every child of God, we can rest in the victory that Jesus won for us on the Cross and in His resurrection! He broke the chains of satan, sin and self from our lives. We can have abundant joy and perfect peace in the midst of any and every story knowing that our Father has everything under control and is working things out for our good! One of the main reasons God allows storms in our lives is so that He can rescue others through our lives. God places us in different circumstances and different places so that we can shine His love and light into the lives of precious people without Him whom He dearly loves! I remember working a job that was far from my dream job! There were times when I was just ready to walk out and leave. It seemed like there was always something bad happening. However, in the midst of that job God gave me a perfect peace and filled me with an abundant joy. He began to bring precious people across my path that needed Jesus. I remember one precious young man that actually came to work with me and after I had talked with him for some amount of time he prayed to receive Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior! After we prayed his eyes filled with tears. He is now a friend with whom I touch base with from time to time. Now I look back and say Lord, “forgive me for having a pity party, You placed me there for a wonderful purpose; help me to thank You for every place You put me!” Only Jesus can do that! All praise to Him! Action Point Are you facing a challenge or a storm in your life? This is when the enemy wants you to be discouraged and tell you there is no way out. Join me in beginning to praise God for placing us exactly where we need to be. Ask Jesus to extend His hand through you to share His love with others. God is doing something so awesome in your life that you will look back and say “thank You Jesus” for this whole experience and for doing what only You could’ve done! God has placed you just where you are to save those around you! Let’s take our eyes off of us and set our eyes on Jesus and the needs of those around us!
