God cheats at “hide and seek.” I’m sorry, I know that - TopicsExpress

God cheats at “hide and seek.” I’m sorry, I know that sounds harsh. But it’s true. Everywhere I go, He is already there. I think I have discovered a place to hide, a place He can’t possibly find me and when I slip into my secret location – He is already there. Makes me mad sometimes. But most times it makes me incredibly glad. The truth is I like knowing that God is always there. His powerful and compassionate presence makes all the difference when I’m lonely or worried or tempted or discouraged. And the more I ponder His “omnipresence” (that’s the big word for the week), the more I realize that the fact He is always with me makes every experience in life a spiritual one, every relationship a spiritual encounter. He can empower my personal ministry! This Sunday Pastor Dale will continue the “It’s All in Who You Know” series with a message entitled, “God Is With You!” There will be some very important truths shared Sunday morning and I don’t want you to miss it – so please remember as Daylight Savings Time begins to set your clocks ahead Saturday night before you go to bed. In preparation for our time of study on Sunday let me encourage you to read the following verses: Psalm 139:7-12 – you can run but you can’t hide Job 34:21 – and unlike Santa Claus, He really does see you when you’re sleeping Jeremiah 23:23-24 – God is pretty much everywhere since He fills heaven and earth Isaiah 57:15 – He lives with those who are contrite and lowly in spirit Psalm 73 – when the world seems unfair, look to the One who’s always with you (vs. 23) Acts 17:27 – He is never far from any of us Matthew 28:20 – Jesus is with you always, right up to the end of the age Since knowing God is always with us can energize our personal ministry, at some point in the message Pastor Dale may introduce “LifeKeys: Discover Who You Are,” a four-week class to be held in April. This spiritually-based comprehensive program will help you discover your life gifts, spiritual gifts, personality type, values and passions. Once you are aware of the components that make up who you are, you will be in a great place to work most effectively with the God who is with you. Pastor Jim P.S. Did I mention that this weekend is when we set our clocks forward an hour?
