God says that we can have this confidence (trust) in Him, that if we pray according to His will, He will answer our prayers! NOTE: not, IF it is His will, but ACCORDING to His will. How can we know the Will of God, and where do we find it? In His Word: HIS WORD IS HIS WILL. His Word teaches us to pray for each other to be healed (James 5:16) THIS IS THE WILL OF GOD. His Word says the believer shall lay his hands on the sick and they shall recover. (Mark 16) It is God’s will to heal you, that is why you can pray for healing according to His Will and instructions. If you pray “if it is Your will”, it indicates that you do not believe what God has said and has instructed you to do. In other words you doubt His Word, and God tells us in James 1 verses 6 & 7 that if you doubt, you will not receive anything from Him. In John 1415 and 16 Jesus said 7 times that we can ask anything in His Name and He will do it for us, or ask in His Name and His Father will do it for us. The will of God is made clear in the Word of God. In Exodus 15:26 … I am the God that Healeth thee. We cannot ask anything contrary to the Word of God, because that would be AGAINST HIS WILL. You cannot ask God for someone else’s possessions, because the Bible says coveting or stealing is sin. He goes on to say that if we know that He hears us we can have confidence. THIS IS DYNAMITE. God cannot lie. (Titus 1:2) Therefore the first key to answered prayer which we see in the Word, is that we need to pray according to His will.
