God’s desire is for you to have your requests granted, so your joy may be full. He’s your loving heavenly Father, and you can be confident to table your requests before Him. In Matthew 7:11, Jesus said to the Pharisees, “If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?” The reason some Christians pray but never receive anything from the Lord is that they don’t ask in confidence. This is perhaps because they’re ignorant of His will. God’s will is not to withhold good things from you, so be confident to ask Him for the best things of life. If you’re not confident before God, you can’t be effective in your walk of faith.
