Going home. Silly Iive only been in Richmond, London, Swansea and Cardiff but Im so looking forward to going home. And knowing that some of my honies are on summer holiday already and I could be having more sugar than normal is hard. I want to go home and hug them all. Yesterday on the train from Swansea to Cardiff I met another woman like myself who became a Nana at what many consider a too early stage of life. We had half an hour of talking to each other as if we were in the french underground - admitting that we were at times overwhelmed by the love we feel for these little people that have been brought into our lives and how everything else pales in significance when they are around. I love that they text me, ask where I am, if I can come and see them, if I want to meet for coffee. The way they took care of me when I was hurt by the cyclist - the way they all want to sleep in my bed when they stay and the way the older ones lean against me when they sit or stroke my neck and the younger ones almost knock me down when they run into my arms. Its a love like no other. Im heading home soon for some sugar...
