Going on vacation to 3 places this summer where the kitchens wont be extensive. Small fridge, a 2 burner stove, etc. Im definitely bringing the rice cooker (we are driving both places) and Im thinking seriously about bringing the bread cooker. I want to bring a crockpot too, but not the huge one we use at home, so Ill keep an eye out at thrifts or see if the neighbor has a smaller one. If anyone has suggestions for stuff to cook in the not huge crockpots (or even better, recipes) and isnt reliant on a lot of stuff that has to be refrigerated? That would be awesome. All of these places have groceries where we can pick up packages of meat or chicken, and I plan on bringing stuff like carrots and canned tomatoes and beans and stuff. Im the only one that likes fish, so not that - and the kids dont like most vegetables except carrots and potatoes and beans. Id love to find a recipe for crockpot lasagna.... hint, hint Brittney Lowder.....
