Going out this morning I felt the crisp air of the approaching autumn and it made me smile. I cant wait to rock a comfy hoodie or to layer up and break out colorful socks and boots. The leaves will soon change and Ill be able to get out in nature again. Also this morning Im witnessing the sea of purple descend upon our city streets. Hello Ravens fans. Im not sure where you are coming from, near or far, but this city is my home so please treat it with the same love and respect you pay to the sport and the players who take the field. Some of you rock jerseys that say Baltimore on them, but your actions suggest your allegiance is elsewhere. This morning I saw a big black truck carrying 3 jerseyed-up Ravens fans and decorated with the appropriate team stickers on the bumpers and windows. Your sweet dog in the backseat was downright adorable, but my happy bubble was instantly deflated when I saw your passenger launch a take out container of trash and leftovers into the street without any second thought. Oh how lucky you are that you were not in crutch-throwing or space-boot-kicking range. This is my neighborhood, these are my streets, and you are a guest in our house. Ill consider you a fair-weathered fan if you dont respect the home city of the sport and team you claim to love so much. Have fun, but please also be mindful, or expect a swift kick from a solid space boot. No one will ever suspect the cute girl on crutches. #crutchlife
