Going to bed in Guernsey on Saturday night as Aussies are waking up on Sunday morning to a new government. Even though my politics have always been right-wing (or as David would say, somewhere to the right of Genghis Khan), I am really not keen on Tony Abbott. The man is a misogynist who would take female status in Australia back to the 1950s...Whatever lies ahead for this wonderful country under coalition rule, I wish it (and my many precious friends there) continued success, stability and prosperity.
