Gonna sit on my butt for a bit.the warmish sunny fall days make it impossible to be inside.I decided its not so much the sun I hate as it is the hot days..days like this just energize me like crazy. I started cleaning up the yard for fall.. Pullin and stacking garden stakes n tomato cages..hosin em off.. Then had to tie the greenhouse to garden fence posts to get it to stop leaning. I cleared it out and whacked down any spider webs in there. Then began cleanin up the great panting pots mess that seems to have radiated through the entire yard.I had a little potting station of sorts as of spring..between the constant high winds..the roomate and his temper tantrums w the hose..there were pots n trays all over the damned yard.looked kinda like a garbage dump. So I gathered up the ones he hadnt crushed underfoot and hosed em down..then got the ones that were not salvagable n tossed em. I keep the pots from store bought plants to recycle and reside as along as they arent all beat up n cracked.umm yeah I have a lot of little pots this yr.some I bought for different stages of seedlings..others from plants I bought at the store.good thing I share seedlings cause..wow.yeah I have stacks o little pots. I got the greenhouse all neat n tidy w racks of clean rdy to use pots for spring.that took a long time and still not done. The girls (chickens) came running when they saw me moving those pots. The bug population by the porch is so much lower now..they were diggin on the amount of creepy crawlies there. Got the garden tools all rounded up from where ever the roomate dropped them. Been wd-40 ing any that are salvagable.some are just too rusted. I raked leaves..again filled the wheel barrel but have to wait to load em in the garbage.I guess I cant yard debris these since they have the shot hole fungus..ya know since the city charges you to haul off yard debris then uses it for free to them composting n mulch for the city n so forth.for some reason they frown on you tossin in diseased plant matter;) I then washed my car...it needed it! Now to chill a bit and let my blood sugar get back up..I ate a good sized lunch but worked my self into being all weak n shakey n starvin!
