Good Afternoon new and returning members of the Winona Water Wizards Swim Club, Welcome to the Winona Wizards Swim Club. The Wizard Swim Club is a non-profit organization and run by a parent board of directors. The board meets once a month and all parents are welcome to attend. This month is the annual board of directors meeting. All parents are encouraged to attend this meeting. The growth of the swim team is exciting and there may be questions, concerns or opinions to share. The board members and coaches look forward to hearing the opinions and concerns of parents. The board meeting will be taking place at 6:00pm, October 22nd, at Jefferson’s Pub and Grill located at 58 Center Street, Winona, MN 55987. By definition, if you have children in the swim club you are a voting member. Additionally, our bylaws allow a board of directors of 12 people. Within that are 4 elected executive board members. Opportunities abound for you to share in your swimmers’ enthusiasm for the sport. Board officers are needed. The current positions that need to be filled are president, vice president, as well as other executive officer positions. The swim club board is the body that helps keep the swim team running, making progress and being successful. All the work and support the board members have given the team over the years is much appreciated. Mark your calendars for Tuesday October 22nd and come share your opinions/comments at the annual board of directors meeting. Please check the Meets tab/section of the website for further information about the board meeting as well as the agenda for the board meeting. We will not be having practice Tuesday night instead we encourage everyone to come to the board meeting.
