Good Evening Blue Knights®, Please say a prayer for AJ, the son of our SRC Florida State Representative (East). He is one of two finalists in what is considered the toughest event in the world “The toughest 48 hours money can buy” (see website goruck/challenge). At the very end of this course, the cadres noticed that although AJ was mentally able to complete this task, something was going wrong. They medically pulled AJ from the event and rushed him to Jacksonville hospital. It turns out that AJ had kidney failure. Doctors are doing the best they can to save his kidneys from permanent damage. Brother Al Hickey will be heading back to the hospital to sit by his son’s side and is ready to give up his kidney for his son AJ. Let’s pray that it doesn’t come down to that and that all will be OK. AJ spent several years in the USAF fighting in IRAQ and AFGHANISTAN. Upon discharge from the USAF as a Sgt, AJ continued to devote his live to military training and maintaining himself in the best physical condition. In the past he has completed numerous events such as this one. If any Blue Knights are in the area and would like to stop by to visit Brother AL and his son, a US Veteran, he will be in Baptist Medical Center Beaches, right now he is in the CCU but just ask for the Hickey Room. 1350 13th Avenue South, Jacksonville Beach FL, 32250 (904) 247-2900 with Respect, Steven Confino President, Blue Knights® LE MC FL-X Vice Chairman, Southern Regional Conference International Public Relations Committee youtu.be/lCQDDweD7Po
