Good Evening Wicklund Families, This is principal Gonzales and Id like to thank you for your support today as we embarked upon our first day of school with your children. The children and staff are settling in and there was a lot of learning evident during my classroom walk throughs today. All our staff did a wonderful job to ensure your children had a great experience. Many of you expressed support for our new drop off and pick up procedures to ensure student safety. However, there were also concerns expressed about the new process and communication about the process. I will ensure to communicate in advance and receive your feedback in the future. My apologies, in the future I will ensure to communicate updates with more advance notice. As with any new change, I believe it is important to note it takes time for all of us to learn new processes and procedures in order to make them run efficiently. That said, I have met with my staff and several parents to get some feedback on the new changes. From those conversations, we will be making some fine tune adjustments to the process that will make it more efficient and smooth for everyone. I ask for your cooperation and support to make this work for your students. In addition, I will continue to communicate and provide updates on our progress. With communication, cooperation, and time, our new procedures will ensure the utmost safety for our students before and after school. I encourage your feedback and my door is always open to hear your ideas. Thanks again for your support making our first day a success and I look forward to a great year for our scholars.
