Good Monday morning and Happy Memorial Day, Hopkins County - TopicsExpress

Good Monday morning and Happy Memorial Day, Hopkins County area.....its a very nice 73 degrees at my house this morning, at 5:45 a.m., expect a high this afternoon of 82 degrees with a 40% chance of rain and then an overnight low of 69 degrees with a 90% chance of thunderstorms and rain, some of them heavy....well keep a watch on the weather and keep you posted on any developments of concern!.....This is hoping that each of you have a very special day with family and friends, as we all take the time to pause and reflect on the very freedoms we enjoy and the many, many who have sacrificed to make those freedoms available to us!....Hats off to those who continue to serve at the present!.....We support our military!......Im going to take some time today to recover from the whirlwind trip to West Texas and back.....somehow that just kind of seems like a dream....going over 1000 miles in 36 hours makes this old body ache!.....I didnt realize how tired I was until I went to bed last night.....and for some reason it hurts worse than it use to!....This morning I was drawn to the sixth chapter of Pauls letter to the Ephesians, verses 13 thru 17, Put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all of this, take up the shield of faith, which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. On this Memorial Day we understand the workings of a soldier and as Christians we are here to fight the battles of God against evil. Were Gods soldiers that with His help can overcome any evil as we battle against the devil and his angels. God wants us to stand firm for good and to show others His goodness! As you celebrate the victories of this nation and enjoy the freedoms on this day, make certain that you stand firm with the armor of God! Happy Memorial Day!
