Good Morning! Class is in session! On this day in Hip Hop History This Day In Hip Hop and Rap History LL Cool J released the classic hit single “I’m Bad” on Def Jam Records, on this day in 1987. “I’m Bad” would be the lead-off single from LL’s classic sophomore album, “Bigger And Deffer”, released the same year. “I’m Bad” was produced by The L.A. Posse, Russell Simmons and LL Cool J as well. “I’m Bad” would sample “The Theme From S.W.A.T.” by Rhythm Heritage, from the 1970’s ABC television police drama “S.W.A.T.”, itself a spin-off from another police drama called “The Rookies”. The music video for “I’m Bad” was an action crime caper with an anti-drug message.
