Good Morning Crazy Cousins…. It’s 20 degrees outside of the International Association of Mope Trackers (thanks Jim!). We will maybe hit the mid 20s today, with a chance of snow flurries later. We will be at zero degrees again during the week sometime…yay! We have no delays or incidents to report at this time. Officer Pettit is out on a traffic stop with a subject who has a felony warrant for his arrest. The subject is also a suspended driver. He will get processed and then head to the bed and breakfast. We hope he gets there in time for some tasty oatmeal…. There are 208 days until the Brimfest Crazy Cousins Reunion and Veterans Welcome Home Parade. There will be funnel cakes…. Today is NOT my birthday. Happy Birthday to those of your who were born on this day. We hope you get a whole posse of Sea Monkeys. I am not in North Carolina, nor am I in Bellevue, Nebraska. Good morning to the chief, officers and staff at the Bellevue Police Department. Carry on! On this date in 1932, Malcolm Campbell drove a then record speed of 253.96 mph at Daytona. Ha! He must be related to Mrs. Chief. She could go to Daytona and win. She goes nowhere slowly. Happy Birthday to Chester Nimitz. He is no longer with us. He was a the U.S. Navy Fleet Admiral who served during World War II as Commander-in-Chief of Pacific Ocean Areas. Anyone who fought in WWII gets immediate recognition and removal of the hat. Those people are true heroes. In honor of the Admiral Nimitz birthday, I will respond to Captain Adkins during the day today by saying “Aye Aye, Captain.” Happy Birthday Dick Goddard. He is a Cleveland TV Weatherman and just a nice fella. He loves animals and also a good job predicting the weather... which is not easy in Ohio. Mr. Goddard is a legend in our area and we wish him great health and continued success in all of his work. Happy Birthday to Lonnie Turner. He was a bassist in the Steve Miller Band. The song stuck in your head today….Jet Airliner. “Oh oh, big ol jet airliner. Dont carry me too far away. Oh oh, big ol jet airliner. Cause its here that Ive got to stay.” Today’s Quote: “You may believe that you are responsible for what you do, but not for what you think. The truth is that you are responsible for what you think, because it is only at this level that you can exercise choice. What you do comes from what you think.” — Marianne Williamson Think positive today….Chief Oliver.
