Good Morning Everyone! As most of you know, Im going into my 3rd year for The Mystic Effect (yay me!!)....in the previous two years Ive given back to a division of the Jamaica 50th Anniversary (2012) and a charity youth organization (2013). Although I loved giving back to the charity and division, the warm fuzzy feeling I get usually last a day or two. I always felt I could do MORE. I always wanted to do MORE. I wanted to give back in such a way that made an impact. With the help of two of my mentors, I decided to create the Stacy-Ann Buchanan Bursary!....its a monetary gift that will be given to a student entering his/her first year of College and pursuing Arts related studies or courses. It is based on demonstrated financial need and excellent academic achievement in the Music, Visual or Dramatic Arts. This Bursary is available through the Jamaican Canadian Association (JCA) and will be presented at its annual Scholarship Awards Ceremony held in September. Part proceeds from THE MYSTIC EFFECT 2014 and every TME from now on will support this Bursary!! This is something Ive signed on to do for as long the JCA is coordinating it. My ultimate goal is to turn it into a Scholarship!! #CreatingALegacy #MyPersonalMotivationMonday
