Good Morning FB Family !!!!! Makeup Tip of the Day !!!!! Featured Makeup Tool of the Day: Kabuki Brush Kabuki Brush A kabuki brush is a makeup brush with a short round or flat brush head and a short stem. Kabuki brush heads are generally short and wide, allowing for quick and easy application of powder over a large area. Many have tapered heads, advantageous for smooth, even application of makeup. They are also used to create a buffed, natural look when using powders on the face. Kabuki Brushes are most commonly used to apply dry, powder-based makeup such as foundation, powders, blushes and bronzers. Because of its size and shape, a kabuki brush is excellent for applying a concentrated amount of product in a strong blunt curve. These brushes are also excellent for creating all-over coverage with a natural look. How To Use: To use a kabuki brush, tap a little product of powder into the container lid or other dish. Then swirl the brush into the powder several times, making sure the powder has coated the entire brush, then tapping it slightly to remove any excess. The powder is then applied to the appropriate areas of the face using a circular motion to blend it into the skin. For mineral makeup especially, its important to make sure the powder is thoroughly blended into the skin. Additional Tips: 1) Use it to apply a finishing powder. Kabuki brushes are for those times when you want a little extra. The times when you wear both foundation and powder. 2) Use it to buff or blend your powder. You can create a smooth, flawless look with your kabuki brush. Instead of applying product to it, just apply your brush to your completely made up face. Swirl the brush around in circles to buff your powder, taking away any harsh streaks or un-blended lines. 3) Apply blush to create softer look. Take your kabuki brush and dip it into your powdered blush, and then swirl onto your face. The very nature of the kabuki brush takes away the severe lines that commonly appear with blush application. 4) Use with mineral powder. Because of its density, a kabuki brush is ideal for holding fine powder, like mineral powder. How To Clean: Keeping brushes clean is important, as they can pick up bacteria from repeated use. To clean a natural-haired brush, it can simply be swirled in warm water with a tiny amount of mild shampoo, then rinsed thoroughly with warm water. It should be allowed to dry flat. Caution should be used when synthetic kabuki brushes are cleaned; the bristles can easily lose their shape. After a synthetic kabuki brush is rinsed, the bristles should be carefully reshaped and allowed to air-dry overnight. “Every Woman Wants To Be and Deserves To Be BEAUTIFUL” I Can Do All Things Through Christ Who Strengthens Me.
