Good Morning, Family. Its Catching Fire Friday Pt. 12 Isaiah 6:5-8 (AMP) 5 Then said I, Woe is me! For I am undone and ruined, because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips; for my eyes have seen the King, the Lord of hosts! 6 Then flew one of the seraphim [heavenly beings] to me, having a live coal in his hand which he had taken with tongs from off the altar; 7 And with it he touched my mouth and said, Behold, this has touched your lips; your iniquity and guilt are taken away, and your sin is completely atoned for and forgiven. 8 Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send? And who will go for Us? Then said I, Here am I; send me. Its easy to lack confidence, or be overcome with fear when youre unconverted. Its only natural to feel vulnerable, when it is unveiled to us that we are unclean. Our Heavenly Father doesnt reveal to us, the real us, to ruin us. He also doesnt uncover who we are to cause embarrassment or condemn us to an unclean state. The reason that He brings it to our attention is to bring about conviction. He also calls it to our attention so He can clean us up and cover us. He knows that its easier for us to face Him forgiven. The purpose of conviction is to bring about change, and conviction can only be complete when that change takes place. When we touch by the hot or live coals from with the tongs from the Altar of God, our lives are altered. The hot coals produce cleansing, and cleansing results in confidence. This touch takes away the guilt and shame , and our sin is atoned for. Once we catch fire, that is not the time to become complacent. Once we come in contact with the hot coals, it is time to accept the Commission and follow the command to Go. Its Catching Fire Friday, Family.
