Good Morning, Family. Its We Started From The Bottom! Friday Colossians 1:21-22 21 And although you at one time were estranged and alienated from Him and were of hostile attitude of mind in your wicked activities, 22 Yet now has [Christ, the Messiah] reconciled [you to God] in the body of His flesh through death, in order to present you holy and faultless and irreproachable in His [the Father’s] presence. There was a time in most our lives, when we wouldnt give God the time of day. We were too busy doing what we wanted to do, that we didnt even consider doing what He wanted to do. We were estranged. The Greek word, according to Strongs, is sárks and means flesh (carnal), merely of human origin or empowerment. It is generally negative, referring to making decisions (actions) according to self – i.e. done apart from faith (independent from Gods) is by definition displeasing to the Lord – even things that seem respectable! In short, flesh generally relates to unaided human effort, i.e. decisions (actions) that originate from self or are empowered by self. This is carnal (of the flesh) and proceeds out of the untouched (unchanged) part of us – i.e. what is not transformed by God. We were alienated. The Greek word is apallotrioó (ap-al-lot-ree-o-o), and means: to be excluded, to be shut out from ones fellowship and intimacy. It doesnt matter how much money we have acquired. It doesnt matter how much weve accomplished. It doesnt matter what weve accumulated or own what we own. Anyone who lives without God or separated from God is basically, at the bottom! However, no one needs to finish were they started. Its not how or where we begin that matters. Its how and where we end. Even though we begin at the bottom, estranged, and alienated from The Father. We can be adopted by Him and have our home with Him, The Most High! Its We Started From The Bottom! Friday, Family. Lets remember, and remain grateful that our Home is with The Most High.
