Good Morning all, I am running a coaching courses for Sligo/Leitrim/Longford area next couple of months and I would like your help in promoting a FAI Coaching month. Any assistance you can give me would be very much appreciated. See below for more information. These will be last Coach Education courses to be ran in North West this year, so please get all coaches on the pathway if not already done so. Can all leagues please forward to your contacts please. Could Local Press please include in Next available issues. START The FAI and Leitrim County Council are running a Kick Start2 Soccer Coaching Course for coaches and parents. The course is designed to assist coaches in the development of the players (aged 9-12 years) soccer specific and FUNdamental movement skills in game related functions, progressing into small sided games. The KS2 course will take place on Saturday 15th November 9am till 6pm and Sunday 16th November 9am till 6pm. The venue for the Kick Start Course is Mayflower Hall and Astro Pitch, Drumshanbo and the cost is €75. Please note coaches must be over 16 and have completed Kick Start 1 and 4v4(Small sided Games) workshop to be eligible to participate in the above course. A 3 Hour FAI Basic Awareness Child Welfare workshop is being held in the Bee Park Centre, Manorhamilton on Friday 5th December from 6.30pm to 9.30pm Any person working in a paid or a voluntary capacity in football with children must complete a Irish Sports Council / FAI approved Basic Awareness Course and be Garda Vetted. It is the responsibility of all clubs to ensure that this happens. The training course costs €10 per person and all participants will be issued with their Certificate on the night.
