Good Morning and a heart felt thank you. To all that shall see these presents. Report for October 4-5 1864 In memory of our fallen Cpl Alyn Bryan USA, Pvt. Talissa (Bilbo Slurfhee) L Wilson CSA You will be remembered for your sacrifice to your Country and your States. On or about 4-5 October 1864 our brave Union troops on patrol headed south to reenforce the Union blockade/ Landing force to land and capture the hamlet of Fort Pierce settlement. the battalion was attacked several times on the march to the northern flank to take the settlement. the last patrol was down to 4 brave souls. My self petty officer Jimbo Odell of the brave Alantic Squadron Gunsloop Lucy Lieu being navigator for the brave band that was left encountered the hardy band of rugged southern militia. led by the Fearless Lt Robert Burdge of the 8th Florida Volunteer Infantry Company C. the Previous day our Commander Maj Eugene Sereg was taken capture by the first squad of reenagade Florida Militia.. Out numbers a hundred to one it seems by tatics and marksman ship our band of brothers were captured. and paroled told to leave Florida and Never to return till next season and bring money back. All hands of our Confederals pulled off what i i would say the greatest small reenactment in the history of Reenactments. My heart and soul is thankful for the turnout and many thanks to the Union Troops led Saturday by Maj Eugene Sereg Provost Marshal for the 4th Brigade USA, Pvt.Joesph Hagan, Pvt Alyn Bryan USA/CSA, Pvt Mike Heitman, Our Contract Surgeon Westley Frank. Our Counterparts Lt Robert Burdge CSA, Pvt Vernon Beaty, Pvt. Talissa (Bilbo Slurfhee) L Wilson CSA. Pvt Justin Burdge CSA. To our Ladies of the Eighth, Ms Drew (Madam Maybell) Deheart and her ladies Ms Mary Beaty OCR, Lovely Ms Caroline Dehart she still single Boys. Ms Martha Kenyon OCR, the beautiful and elegant, Ms Lise Hagan of Baton Rouge La. And our gracious host Mr Mike Heitman and his awesome staff Thank you eternally. Next year a bigger and bettter battle and show. Our Great actors for the Payroll robbery and the court martial of the payroll robber Talissa (Bilbo Slurfhee) L Wilson CSA. both skits went off without a hitch and the audience as fully engaged thank you again for your help in making this happen. As i close this communicate again thank you and to those that could not make if do to life happens Hope that all your troubles be resolved and you will join us next year for the second annual Battle of Yellow Pines the precursor to the Raid on Fort Pierce.
