Good Morning and happy Friday! Today we wanted to introduce Mia. Mia, is an eight year old Shetland Sheep dog. She suffers from Cruciate Ligament injuries on both hind legs. Three months ago she had surgery to repair one of her knees, after her surgery Mia started therapy to help stabilize the knee that was operated on. Mia has been visiting us twice a week for Rehabilitation treatments, which include Underwater Treadmill (As pictured), Laser Therapy, and an Adequan Series. These treatments are helping Mia in two ways: they strengthen the leg that is recovering from surgery while helping her to prepare for her next CCL repair. Mia has shed a few pounds which is beneficial before having her other knee surgically repaired. Mia is improving with every visit and is always excited and happy to see us when she comes in! We here at PAWS feel blessed to be able to work with such strong and incredible Animals! Great Job Mia!
