Good Morning, looks like we could see some slightly cooler temperatures today!! That’s definitely GOOD news for everyone working the fires! As a reminder, there are still roadblocks set up in areas where the Oregon Gulch Fire is burning. If you do not have any reason to be in the area, please stay away. Weve had LOTS of unnecessary people in the area and it has created some issues for fire crews and equipment parked along the roadside. Evacuation levels have changed as well. Addresses from the 6,000 block on COPCO ROAD and south to the Oregon border are now at a LEVEL 2 EVACUATION. LEVEL 2 EVACUATION means “BE SET” to evacuate. YOU MUST PREPARE TO LEAVE AT A MOMENTS NOTICE. Residents living along Highway 66 in Oregon between the 11,000 and the 22,000 block of Highway 66 are still under a Level 1 Evacuation. This is on the Ashland side and does not impact people living in Keno. Deputies responded to Shady Cove after it was reported that Troy Jones had fled Miguel’s without paying the bill for his family to eat. Miguel’s employees chased Troy on foot until he ran out of breath and challenged them to fight. Troy ran in and out of traffic several times causing them to stop. Once law was on scene, Miguel’s employees decided not to pursue charges after the bill was paid by another family member, however Troy was lodged for DOC II. During a traffic stop a deputy identified two people inside a car who had various warrants out for their arrest. Bree Gramlich, 22, was lodged for PV Possession Marijuana and PV Delivery of Meth. Jordan Andres, Jordan, 22, was lodged for Burglary 1, Possession of a Controlled Substance Meth, and PV Burglary. Deputies responded to the 12,000 block of Agate Road for a Motor Vehicle Crash around 3:10 p.m. according to witnesses, the vehicle was weaving across the road, when the driver, Donald McKenzie, 71, from Eagle Point lost control of the vehicle. It rolled over a 40 foot embankment and hit a utility pole. McKenzie had to be extricated. He was cited for DUII and Criminal Mischief 2.
