Good Night, Dear Friends. A stressful and eventful week has come to an end. Looking forward to a little R & R this weekend. Tonight we had the first of our summer Shabbat Services lead by members of the congregation. Thank you to Linda Hoffman for leading a lovely service. The Haftorah portion this evening included one of my favorite passages. The Talmud says that the prophet Micah (6:8) summarizes the 613 commandments in the Torah into three basic principles. This is what is expected of us: "To act justly, to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your G-d."
