Good Saturday Evening everyone! Moisture has returned to central Florida & that means afternoon thunderstorms. Today the east coast sea-breeze was dominate & that pinned most storms to our coastal counties. Sunday will see weaker easterly winds so our west coast sea-breeze will be able to move inland & afternoon storms will be more widespread. Low temperatures tonight will be in the mid to upper 70s & highs Sunday will be in the low to mid 90s. In the Tropics: Tropical Storm Bertha, suffering from dry air intrusion & upper level shearing winds, has weakened to just 40 mph winds. If it doesnt completely fall apart in the next 24 hours it has a chance of becoming a short lived hurricane next week. Regardless, it will stay away from Florida & the rest of the U.S. coast.
