Good Wednesday all! Last evenings storms yielded some spectacular photos from so many of you! THANKS to all who were so good about sending them along to us. Here are but a few. The quality of these shots always makes it hard to select just a handful of them to highlight. Small funnels were photographed in the Fox Valley area-one featured here was forwarded to us by Eric OBrien from between Oswego and Montgomery--the other was taken west of Batavia by Jodi Mair. Shawn Denk was in a holding pattern coming into OHare and snapped one of last evenings towering cumulonimbii while rainshafts observed from the bases of these clouds were photographed by Taylor Odom and Julie Quinn of Bourbonnais. Lightning arcing earthward in Hoffman Estates comes to us in a photo from Sarah Shuster while an especially vivid rainbow was snapped by Shelly Ryan in Bartlett. And a bank of towering cumulonimbus extending to 50,000 ft. was photographed looking east from Dubuque, IA toward Freeport, IL by Justin Andrew while Nancie Merlin shares her shot of ominous skies with the storms arrival last night over Carpentersville. The final post here is of a photo taken from the 78th floor of a downtown highrise of fog over the city.
