Good Wednesday morning! (cough, cough!) Wasnt yesterdays haboob - TopicsExpress

Good Wednesday morning! (cough, cough!) Wasnt yesterdays haboob awful! Heres a picture that Storm Search 7 Meteorologist Brian James pulled off the Internet yesterday of the 350 mile wide, meteorological phenomenon that extended thousands of feet into the air and made for a wall of dust! Visibilities dropped to 100 yards or less and it was hard to breathe for hours! Well, the good news is that the dust is settling this morning with mostly sunny skies and highs rising only into the 50s to around 60 degrees this afternoon. Winds will be light and blow from the northwest this morning, then the southwest this afternoon at only 5-15 mph. Spring officially begins at 11:57am (CDT) tomorrow...so today is officially the LAST day of winter (yeah!) We will see highs rise into the 70s to around 80 degrees tomorrow as spring begins. Winds will be breezy from the southwest at 15-25 mph with some gusts upward of 35-40 mph possible....but nowhere near the 60 mph gusts we experienced yesterday! It will be a colder weekend with highs in the 50s Saturday and the 40s on Sunday....followed by what is hopefully our next chance of rain and snow next Tuesday and Wednesday (fingers crossed and praying like crazy!) Have a great day today!
