Good afternoon all. Council would like to share this news from Murrumbidgee Local Health District. Members of the Griffith community who use services at Griffith Base Hospital will have an opportunity to provide feedback through a patient survey to be undertaken throughout October. Griffiths Local Health Advisory Committee (LHAC) members will be speaking directly with patients to obtain their opinion on admissions, treatment, accommodation, catering and other services provided during their stay. LHAC Chair Jenna Thomas said the information gained via the survey will be used to inform Hospital management, the committee and wider community. There is a great deal of anecdotal evidence about the quality of services provided at the hospital but it would be helpful to have qualitative data to support this, Ms Thomas said. A number of patients have already indicated their views, many of which have painted a positive picture for our hospital. LHAC members will be approaching patients in a range of settings across the hospital to undertake the survey - which should only take approximately 15 minutes to complete. Ms Thomas said as well as completing the multiple choice sections of the survey, patients would also be able to write general comments as part of the survey. Information obtained through the survey process will be presented at the next meeting of the LHAC. For more information about the LHAC visit mlhd.health.nsw.gov.au/community-support
