Good byes are always hard to do. As I was trying to think about - TopicsExpress

Good byes are always hard to do. As I was trying to think about what to say in this last article the ending of the old Bugs Bunny cartoon series came to mind. In the words of Bugs Bunny, “That’s all folks”. The time for us to be together has come to an end. During our almost two years together, we have come through many hard times, ad-dressed a variety of concerns and issues and entered a deliberate process to help us discern God’s vision for your future. As I am preparing to leave, it is a good feeling to know that there is much excitement now about living into that vision. You have called a new pastor, a new music director and a new administrative assistant to help you live into the vision of a congregation that is empowered by the SPIRIT. Doing intentional interim work is very rewarding as you see all the changes that unfold and at the same time very difficult. For me the part that is hardest is being in differ-ent places all the time making it much more difficult to make long term lasting friend-ships. While I will no longer be in a pastoral relationship with you, I look forward to keeping up with what is going on in your lives with the great invention of Facebook and the once in a while personal social contacts. It has been good to sojourn with you and I look forward to hearing about the great things that are happening here. Some of you have asked what I am doing next. The answer is I don’t know yet but I am confident that God has something in mind. Sometimes the waiting is the most difficult and a bit unnerving. But God always provides. I hope you will plan to be here this Sunday if you are in town as we worship together and stay for the potluck luncheon. Blessings, Pastor Kathy Bryant
