Good day to you Princes and Princesses, the In-house meeting which was held in the house of HRM Oba Prof. John Omoniyi Abiri PhD, Obapero of Abiri-Ife. Moremi Street, Iloro, Ife on 9/9/14. The following were the agenda discussed and conclusions were reached: An Acceptable Name for the Youth Club... ABIRI YOUTH CLUB (AYC). Who could be a member?... Membership: Ordinary and Associate member: (A) Those of Ordinary membership must either have been generally known withing the ABIRI Clan or can present incontrovertible evidence that they are direct descendants by birth or adoption of Patriarch Abraham Ifajoloye Oramuyiwa ABIRI of Ile-Ife. (B) Those for Associate membership on the other hand must (1) either have been generally known withing the ABIRI Clan to be either direct descendants of Patriarch ABIRIs Father (Oradugba Oraduyile) or (2) Spouses of ordinary members. Those who may not have been generally known within the family must present incontrovertible evidence of their claims. (The above was quoted from Article 3, Page 2 of Abiri Descendant Association Constitution). Leadership: The position of Acting President is Understandably bestowed to Princess Lilian Adeshina (Nee Abiri). After which all other executive members shall sufface, she is in the UK presently and we are consulting with her for a fast execusion of the ideas. Constitution... Prince Abiri Segun together with some other members and Aunty Lilian shall work on a prototype of the Constitution after which shall be submited to the appropriate quarters like... (Founding members of the Board of Trustees of Abiri Descendat Association: i. Oba Prof. John Omoniyi Abiri- President/Chairman. ii. Engr. Isaiah Oladejo Abiri- Vice Pres./vice Chair. iii. Mr Samsom Oladayo Abiri- Registrar/Secretary. iv. Barr. Kolawole Abiri- Legal Advisser/Dep. Reg) and some other quarters for corrections, additions, etc. Venue/Interval...The Venue of our Meeting shall be Abiri Hall, beside Oja Abiri, Abiri-Ife. While we shall be meeting at every 6 Month/Quarterly, unless otherwise stated. Advantages of Members... Several advantages and benefits were pin-pointed during the meeting. Abiri Anthem... The MC doubled Radio Presenter and Music Writer and Singer, Prince Abolade Abiri has been given the Humble mandate to Compose a robust Anthem for Abiri and the Youth. Membership Form/Card.... A membership form as well as a Card will be issued to every persons that dim it fit to promote the name and the community, after which the completion of the form shall be returned to the Excos or Palace. Age Grade... Age grade was divided into 3 sections. 1. 18 yrs or SSCE to 23years. 2. 24years to 30years. 3. 31years and Above. Website... Members Details from the Membership Form as well as other importants documents shall be considered for setting up a Robust Website for Abiri. Several other issues were discussed like... Registration of the Club with CAC/Local Government, Dues, etc. NOTE: With all manner of Humility, I must say that none of the above is not subjected to amendment as these report is been submited to the elderly members of the Club i.e 30 years and Above for the take over in other to make an elaborate leadership and followership. It must also be noted that all hands are and should be put on Desk as we are working tirelessly to lunch the Club this year December under the Acting headship of Princess lilian Adeshina. And to also make sure that we have w bigger house both within the country and outside. One love.
