STRONG DELUSION “And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness” (2 Thess 2:10-13) We are living in an hour where we can no longer afford to surround ourselves with false doctrines and self-preservation teachings. These things have helped the church to get in the position we now find her; compromised and weak! Jesus is walking through His churches in this hour, just as He did with the seven churches in Revelation and He is lovingly warning us to come out of and depart from what is unclean. Whether it is an unclean heart condition, worldliness or blatant and unrepentant sin; we must allow the Lord to search us; find us out and then ask for the courage to repent from whatever it is He reveals to us (2 Thess 2:10-13). If we turn our backs on the Lord in this hour, we may never have the opportunity to turn them back to Him again. The scriptures seem to support that during the end, there comes a time when strong delusion encamps multitudes that have been presented with the truth, but yet rejected the truth. Strong delusion means to be taken by a strong mental error that results in immoral practice. In other words, depending on how strong someone is to resist the truth, that strength to deny truth will be the strength of the delusion. I have witnessed this on various occasions. I have witnessed brothers and sisters who were fervent for the truth, stood for the truth and supported the truth. But then; their personal difficulties encamped them round about. And instead of judging the condition of their hearts wrong, they stared saying something was wrong with the truth. As a result, they looked for something softer, less demanding and a bit more patient with a sinful and worldly lifestyle. In other words, they sought teachings that supported the selfish ambitions within their hearts, rather than help to slay them. Strong delusion means the Lord will allow individuals to chase the unclean desires in their hearts and will no longer interfere with what theyve chosen for themselves. In other words, they’ll be no more conviction or striving; and a spirit will convince them that every word of loving correction is judgmental, religious and harsh. They will be given teachers just like them; teachers who have erected the stumblingblock of their idols in their hearts. Thus solidifying and hardening the deception in the heart. And because many will go this way (2 Pet 2:3), a false peace will cover their hearts. Thus, the heart has become completely hardened in deception and ripened for judgment (2 Thess 2:10-13). We are living in an hour of mercy dearly beloved! Although many have had the cement poured into their hearts, it’s not yet fully dry. Some can still hear the voice of Christ. Beloved, I urge you in the love of our Lord Jesus Christ; that whatever He has been addressing in your heart that you do not shrug it off, get upset and angry and look for another teaching that will seek to make the voice of Christ other than what it is. If we hear His voice; I pray that there be a favorable response. This is not a message of fear beloved; but a message of mercy. The scriptures cannot be broken, but we can. Will we allow Him to? The choice is ultimately ours.
