Good evening everyone :) I know perhaps you dont hear as much from me here lately as before, but its not that I have abandoned ship ! There has been such a great variety of posts lately, and great member input that activity has really been booming, and on my many daily log ins, I am able to see great cars, and some great discussions going on. To run a group of this size and scale does take a lot of time, dealing with messages, and monitoring posts, and I know my admin team do work very hard to keep the page as intended; we are lucky to have such a great members list of some really friendly knowledgeable people. This group has seen some superb vehicles, a few have exchanged hands on here also, and when a member needs help or advice, there is always someone here to help. When I first decided to have a go at creating a group for 1980s cars, I honestly didnt think it would be a massive one, and initially thought if after a year I got 1000 members, I would have done pretty well; however it hasnt been a year, and there are over 28000 members ! If on day one anyone had told me it would be this big, I would have not believed them, but here we are, a big friendly group.In the early days, it was just myself and with extra help from Natercia Morgan who joined me as admin, we slowly built up the group, and saw a positive friendly group of friends growing. We then joined Andrew Jagnuts Morris to the admin team, who himself runs many successful groups here on Facebook, and also like myself runs a business during the day,but still finds the time to admin and help members with any issues or questions they may have.Our latest admin Dave Hebson is also highly knowledgeable on vehicles, and puts a lot of time and effort into running the group, and like myself and other admins is always here to help with members questions, and help should an issue arise. I am very proud of this group, and thankful to everyone who contributes towards it, and look forwards to seeing the group carry on in the same friendly way into 2015; there obviously will be times when we cant all agree on the same things, or like the same things, but we can always find a constructive non offensive way to express our opinions without causing offence to others. We arent here as a group to change anyones opinions, or promote a certain brand; our sole purpose is to share and enjoy 1980s cars. Thank you to all
