Good morning! 36 years ago today, I gave birth to a beautiful baby girl, Melanie Lynn Addington. Holding her in my arms, I wondered what her future would be. She has become a beautiful, intelligent, artistic, strong woman. She has filled my life with anxiety, anger and every other emotion a child can bring to a parent. She has given us a wonderful grandson who is a joy. Her intelligence got her a masters degree and she worked her dream job, a reporter. She now is with a major magazine making great strides. The one thing I never thought about, she has accomplished. She is an award winning filmmaker and a co-director of the Oxford Film Festival that she has helped grow. Melanie is known and admired by the entire town. I could not be prouder. Happy Birthday Melanie. I love you.
