Good morning America! How about something hopeful to start our day off? Talk about the “Circle of Life!” Dr. Jim Affleck is a retired obstetrician from Sacramento. He needed his aortic valve replaced, so he went to one of the best heart surgeons around, Dr. Robert Kincade. The surgery was a success: he feels like he has a new lease on life. That’s appropriate. You see, after the operation, Dr. Kincade thought that his patient’s name seemed familiar. He called his mother, and sure enough, he had seen Dr. Affleck’s name before…on his own birth certificate. Forty-five years ago, the man whose life he’d just saved had delivered him when he was born. Dr. Affleck was just as surprised. He hadn’t even recognized Dr. Kincade. But then, the last time he saw his heart surgeon, he was a lot younger.
