Good morning BMR Family, this is your CMO sounding out and reaching out to all of our running family and supporters to say thanks for all the love support we have received from both the running members of BMR and the support from the other running groups that share the same vision as BMR. Big thanks out to the South Fulton Running Partners, The Run2Live Foundation, Running Nerds, National Black Marathoners Association and the Powder Spring Pretties who are with us every step of the way as we grow the vision of Black Men Run. I hope everyone had an awesome run week and an even better race/training weekend. I would like to make a couple of important announcements about the changes and evolution of BMR as we strive to make our motto A Healthy Brotherhood, a reality for all of those who will have a CHOICE to make a CHOICE about their health. I am happy to share the news that Black Men Run has now opened new chapters in Minneapolis, Minnesota and Kanas City, Missouri. Please welcome our new captains. .Jason Holmes from Minnesota and Brian Jones from Kansas City. Jason and Brian you are now a part of the BMR family and the BMR family is here is for you. Current BMR captains...please reach out to your new leadership peers and welcome them in. Now the big news...drum roll...we now have a captain for that Atlanta chapter. As you all know Black Men Run was founded in Atlanta, GA in July of 2013 in historic Grant Park. During our first year of existence the management and relationship building fell upon the shoulders of the founders in Atlanta. BMR has experienced tremendous growth in its first year and as with any growth comes responsibilities, new members, new duties, company expansion and other things necessary to RUN (no pun) the business. I would like to say congratulations and thank you to Nicholas Johnson for accepting the mantle of captain of Atlanta. Nicholas has been a stout supporter of BMR since becoming one of the family, supports the vision and help in a public and private manner whenever we put the call out for help. His relationship and involvement with other prominent local running groups made him one of our front runner in a decision to create a captain position for Atlanta and to help lead BMR into 2015. I could go on and on about Nicholas and his running story but if you want to know the man then friend the man on Facebook and get the story for yourself. I look forward to working with Nicholas on the upcoming changes with BMR and welcome the opportunity to dump some of the back office work and other stuff on his shoulders. Nicholas you should have read the fine print! LOLOL. Welcome aboard sir and thanks again to everyone that believes in BMR and please stay tuned for what we have in store for everyone. As always...Run Hard..Run Smart and keep Running Edward Walton Chief Motivation Officer (CMO) Black Men Run Inc. blkmenrun
