Good morning! DPW with our contractor Pike Industries are now down to the final weeks of reconstruction operations for this year’s Street Reconstruction Program. First off, I would like to thank you all for your continued patience as we work together to improve the City of Burlington’s street network. This summer we have tackled some difficult intersections and high volume main routes. As always, please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions. The following is our plan for the next 2 weeks: Tuesday September 24: Shim paving of Intervale Ave, top paving on Bright Street, Luck Street, Poplar Street and Front Street, then moving to Sandra Circle to park for following day. Wednesday September 25: Top paving on Sandra Circle, Laurel Court, and Shore Road. Moving the equipment (at least the rollers) to Intervale Ave to park. Thursday September 26: Top paving on Intervale Ave, Russell Street, Adsit Street, Bradley Street, Buell Street (the first two blocks). Friday September 27: Top paving on Cherry Street, and Main Street, if we have time, we will do Elm Terrace. Move to Deforest Heights. If we do not pave Buell Street, this will be done after Main Street, but before Elm Terrace. Saturday September 28: Top Deforest Heights, Pave Buell and Orchard Terrace Intersection, move to lower Pearl Street (St. Paul to South Winooski). If we do not have time we will park as far up the street as possible to prepare for an early start for Monday. If behind, lower Pearl will be started on Monday. Monday September 30: Early start to pave the South Prospect/Pearl Street Intersection, then pave the eastbound lane for the beginning part of the day, swap traffic to pave the westbound lane. #btv
