Good morning FB fam. My question today is, are the republicans right in thinking that we as Americans are dumb enough to believe that raising the national minimum wage will hurt jobs? To me I think they are wrong because although I did not go to a structural college, I did learn how to count, add, subtract, and multiply in high school. I can also read write and comprehend. Now saying all that also gives me a basic knowledge of economics (supply and demand). What I see is that good economic growth comes when you have strong demand. Now if you have people that need a product but cant afford it that means supply is not in demand so theres no need to hire more people to make that product. In fact this will make the employer cut jobs. So if you have people that can afford that same product that they do need, demand becomes high and jobs are added to make that product. So lets tell these republicans we are not dumb and that we want a raise in the minimum wage. We have tried this supply side economics thing sense Ronald Reagon and it dose not work for all of us. Trickle down what a joke.
