Good morning! Im continuing my Humans of Social Innovation theme with a front page article fresh of the press about... us! As you may have heard we recently bought a 64,000 sq. ft. building in downtown Toronto to build Social Innovation a new home, and were funding part of that development by offering Community Bonds, an innovation in citizen finance. CSI is definitely a scrappy nonprofit with big ambitions! Our undertakings would not be possible without an incredible staff team and board of directors, but we do have a visionary human in Co-Founder, CEO and Ashoka fellow Tonya Surman. And yes, she is big on cartwheels (she was also some kind of trampoline champion... true story). Luckily cartwheels arent part of the job interview process at CSI... but probably a good skill to have - Barnabe Geis, Centre for Social Innovation
