Good morning! Todays Floral Fact (in keeping with the weather) is Darmera Peltata aka Umbrella Plant. The Umbrella plant is a flowering plant within the genus Darmera. It is a slowly spreading perenial native to mountain streamsides in woodlands, in the US. In late spring, flowers emerge from white to bright pink and can be up to 2m long, but the leaves turn red in Autumn. In gardens, they flourish in pond gardens and bog gardens, where it forms an imposing umbrella-like clump.
