Good morning. We are in the final week of our 21 Days of Prayer and we are praying the prayer of Jabez every day. It is a Your kingdom come, Your will be done kind of prayer. This morning I want to focus on the third part of that prayer. First we pray, God, bless me indeed, then Lord, enlarge my territory. Then, we say, “Let Your hand be with me.” In other words, “God, I can’t do it alone so I pray that Your presence and power would be my strength to pass Your blessing on to others. In the Old Testament, any time you heard the phrase, “The Hand of God” it’s talking about the presence of God. (Acts 11:21) The Lord’s hand was with them and a great number of people believed and turned to the Lord. - God showed up!! It’s not about being qualified as much as it is being available and surrendered to God’s presence. Why, When God shows up and does something amazing He gets all the credit. (2 Corinthians 3:5-6) Not that we are competent in ourselves to claim anything for ourselves, but our competence comes from God. He has made us competent as ministers of a new covenant--not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life. The presence of God can make ALL the difference. The Bible calls it the anointing of God. So, Lord, we pray that you would bless us indeed, increase our sphere of influence and let your anointing be upon me to fulfill the task of blessing others. https://youtube/watch?v=haZmBnbBeuc
