Good morning. We need to make you aware of a number of robberies which occurred yesterday, involving knives, one of which was particularly nasty. At 5.40pm the male victim entered the subway at the underpass, Princess Road, when he was approached and stopped by two males who say “Give us your bag this is how we do it round here.” Offender 1 approaches the victim and pushes him, and as the victim turns to exit the subway offender kicks and punches the victim to he shoulder. Offender then shouts “Give me your bag”, placing his right hand inside his trousers. Fearful for his safety, the victim retaliates, whereupon the offender goes inside his waistband, and again, fearful for his safety, punches the offender. The Offender then draws a knife from his waistband and makes slashing movements towards the victim’s chest, and attempts to block the blows. Offender 2 then produces a knife with his arm outstretched. Offender 1 then removes victim’s bag and searches it, stealing various items. They then search the victim’s pockets and subsequently steal a watch, laptop, and wallet. Offenders make off on foot. The description of the offenders is as follows; OFFENDER 1. BLACK MALE, 17 YEARS, 56, SLIM/ATHLETIC BUILD, SHORT AFRO HAIRCUT (NO.3) SPOKE WITH LOCAL ACCENT. WEARING NEW BRIGHT WHITE TRAINERS, DARK BLUE JEANS AN OVERSIZED LARGE HEAVYWEIGHT WAX CHARCOAL GREY SPORTS JACKET WHICH FELL JUST BELOW WAIST. OFFENDER 2 BLACK MALE, 15/`16 YEARS, 56, SLIM BUILD, SHAVED HAIR (NO 1 ALL OVER) WEARING DARK BLUE JEANS WITH LIGHT GREY JOGGING BOTTOMS UNDERNEATH, MANY T SHIRTS WITH A BLUE AND WHITE HOODY WITH AN OUTER DARKER HOODY ON TOP SPOKE WITH LOCAL ACCENT. The second robbery occurred at 2.29pm as follows; The male victim exits Birchfields Park, when he is aware of two males behind him. As the victim enters onto Brighton Grove, one offender walks at the side of him to get his attention. The victim removes his headphones and turns to face the offender. As he does so, the offender pushes the victim against the fence railings. The offender then produces a knife and puts the knife against his neck demanding “Give me everything you’ve got.” The offender then takes the ipod out of the victims hand and removes items from his pocket. The offenders then make off towards the local Church, making good their escape. The offenders are described as follows; OFFENDER ONE: 1 X MALE: ASIAN - POSSIBLY PAKISTANI AGED 16-18: SLIM BUILD: APPROX 510 TALL : MEDIUM LENGTH BLACK HAIR WEARING A BLACK HOODY - HOOD DOWN - POSSIBLE BEADING AROUND THE HOOD SUSPECTED OF ROBBERY CARRYING A KNIFE 4 BLADE ( KITCHEN STYLE ) STRAIGHT ON ONE SIDE AND CURVED ON THE OTHER. OFFENDER TWO : 1 X ASIAN MALE The third robbery occurred at 12.15am (early hours), at Barclays Bank, Oxford Road, University area, as follows; The male victim, a student, was using the ATM, when the offender put his left arm around the victim’s neck holding a knife in his right hand, then demands cash from the withdrawal. The victim manages to shrug off the offender who runs off towards the direction of Rusholme. The offender is described as follows; BLACK MALE, 20-30 YRS OLD, STOCKY BUILD, DARK GREY OR BLACK TRENCH COAT, BLUE TROUSERS, ORANGE OR MAROON SCARF ACROSS HIS FACE. From a witness, they describe the offender as follows; VERY DARK BLACK SKINNED MALE, 25-30 YRS, WELL BUILT, APPROX 60 TALL, LARGE SIZED EYES AND PRONOUNCED CHEEKBONES, WEARING A DARK COLOURED JACKET, AND A MAROON COLOURED SCARF ACROSS FACE, HOOD OVER HIS HEAD, DARK COLOURED BAGGY STYLE JEANS.
