Good morning!! Weve been a little slow on the medical news front mainly because Cindy and Blaine have both been resting. Yall cannot imagine how much your visits and cards and prayers and posts and calls and gifts and thoughts and FOOD mean to them. This is hard stuff that theyre managing. Really, truly, Thank You. Cindy goes in today to get her stitches out and probably will move to some sort of a removable cast. Not a major procedure as far as the surgical aspect, but definitely a major event when it comes to healing!! Shes doing so well. Shes getting around well using her mobile aids. Shes still not allowed to put any weight on her foot. That isnt likely to change for a few months. Blaine is waiting patiently for his vein surgery again. His protein count has been too low to go back in to surgery. So, the doc has been stuffing him full of protein drinks. Were hopeful that hell be ready early next week. Uncle Don is headed out to NH soon to do a shift change with Aunt Sue. I try to keep these posts upbeat, but I want to state the obvious. This is hard stuff - really hard stuff. Cindy and Blaine are separated. Blaine is separated from his kids and life back home. Cindy is living in her INCREDIBLY AWESOME sisters house. Blaine is living in the hospital. Yet these two AMAZING souls are staying positive and happy due to the love and support that their friends and family provide. I dont want you to pity them, but I do want you to take a second and think about just how difficult this is, how amazing they are, and how amazing YOU are for helping them through this. Thank you....and keep it up!!
