Good morning all. Happy FRIDAY!! In doing a postmortem on Thursdays storms in Central & North TX, I am still surprised that the suite of model data did such a poor job predicting the location of initiation. For several days prior, the data set showed the storms popping along and east of I-35. Obviously, the cap broke almost 4 hours earlier resulting in those hailers and tornadic storms to our north beginning some 60 miles farther west. Goes to show you that no matter how advanced the science of forecasting, the Earths weather sets its own rules! Our next episode will bring scattered rain and non-severe thunder showers through Saturday night and Sunday. Lets hope and pray the rainfall totals are impressive and the models perform better through the remainder of the storm season!
