Good morning all senior men :) ... only some of us need walking sticks but to the rest of you young senior men :) omg training hurts :) good fun tho.. On a serious note.. in the next 48 hours we need to decide upon the addition or not of an A grade mens team and do it on a UNITED front. I walked into a firestorm of sorts last night. It doesnt matter who said what to who and when.. we now just need to organise ourselves and move forward maintaining a positive outlook on the future of A men... We need a united front and all talking from the same page..this is clearly not the current position even if everyone thought it was. Its awesome that there are parties willing to step up to the plate and attempt to help with the A mens idea. The association committee meeting last night showed that we are at logger heads as to how this will be done and by whom and when..... I am certainly happily to donate my pool deck for a meeting either tonight or tomorrow night to sit down with ALLLLLL parties that are interested in participating in the possibility of an A grade serpents men side... The A game fixture this weekend is a get together but i think we need to have a firm idea of what is happening before we show up to that meeting... The association doesnt want to listen to us fight over who said what and when they want clear answers as to the viability of a mens A team. To be productive and to move forward positively i believe we need to come together with positive ideas.. yes they will all probably be different, but table the ideas and vote as a senior player group. In a democracy the majority vote rules and we move forward with it. not everyone will be happy with a particular decision but once the senior playing group has all voted i think we then need to run with that ball. Simon Teakle can you liaise with Prouty on his expectations and availability to attend a get together ... Ultimately there may not be a possibility of a mens A but lets go into this positive and then we can walk out heads high with a vision for the future of serpents men... its exciting times and i look forward to being involved with a strong positive cohesive group of players both the mens and the womens teams. Given that these decisions will affect the club as a whole senior women who also want to attend please put your hands up. lets move forward and be strong... reply asap please for the greater good of our club,...
