Good morning beautiful people. Proverbs 25 today. My favorite passage from this verse is one of the more often quoted passages in the Bible. Proverbs 25:21, 22, "If your enemy is hungry, give hime bread to eat, and if he is thirsty, give him water to drink, for you will heap burning coals on his head, and the Lord will reward you." I realize how difficult this may seem, the whole love your enemy thing. but what we are being told here is by helping our brothers and sisters regardless of friend or enemy, we will be building our own reward in heaven. To love our enemy and help them regardless of being an enemy, we are not only helping ourselves, but that kindness is our best weapon against our enemy, because in doing so we are "heaping coals on their head," or sealing their inevitable fate so to speak. Loving our enemy as well as our friend is something we all need help with. That help comes from staying in the word and using the Holy Spirit God has blessed us with. Everyone have a blessed day. Heavenly Father, thank you for another day, another chance to serve and praise your name. Father watch over us, guide us, and keep us safe. Forgive our sins both known and unknown. Father fill our hearts with the Holy Spirit so we may continue to learn and grow in you, so that we may grow in areas such as love of our enemies. father help us understand these things are your will and not ours. Grant us the strength, courage, and wisdom to be ready and react to any situation we may be put in. As we continue to grow in you Father we ask that you continue to use us. We are ready.
