Weather Situation Slow moving high pressure systems in the Tasman Sea and over southeastern Australia will maintain a ridge along the east Queensland coast during the next few days. An upper level trough will contract east off the southern coast during today. A more significant upper trough will shift east over the state on Friday, contracting off the east coast during Saturday. Forecast for the rest of Wednesday Isolated to scattered showers about eastern districts, mostly north of Brisbane. Mostly fine about the remainder of the state with only isolated light showers north of about Charleville. Moderate to fresh and gusty southeasterly winds about the east coast north of St. Lawrence. Light to moderate southeast to northeasterly winds elsewhere. ________________________________________________ Todays official forecast for the Herbert and Lower Burdekin and surrounds.
